Who doesn't like a Banana dressed in it's Sundae best? These scrumptious banana recipes are great for the frugal budget. If the recipe calls for pureed or mashed fruit, you can use baby food!
I even tossed in some skinny recipes for breakfast that you can have as a snack or lunch!
1 medium Banana
1 Tbs chocolate syrup
Slice banana into breakfast bowl.
Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
Enjoy! Now that wasn't so bad, was it? You could even add whipped topping to this without ruining your waist!

It so delicious! This fills me up and gives me plenty of lasting energy!
1 banana, sliced
1 Red Delicious apple, cored and chopped
1 Bartlett pear, cored and chopped
Cinnamon to taste
Mix all fruit together in a breakfast bowl. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Mix lightly and serve. Serves 1.
Iced Banana Bread
2 cups sugar 2 eggs ¾ cup oil or apple sauce for low-fat lovers 3 teaspoons vanilla 2 cups mashed banana 2 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder ½ tsp baking soda 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 tsp salt
Beat together eggs, oil, sugar and banana. Sift baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add dry ingredients to banana mixture beating well.
Grease and flour two bundt pans and divide batter between pans. Bake at 350° F for 45-50 minutes or until bread tests done. Turn out onto cake plate and allow to cool 30 minutes before icing. Great as a snack or serve at breakfast with eggs, oatmeal or cream of wheat.
Zucchini, Banana or Squash bread
Puree 2-3 cups uncooked zucchini,banana or squash 3 1/3 cups flour 2 ¼ cups sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 3 eggs 2/3 cup applesauce 1 cup Chopped nuts-optional
DO NOT preheat oven. Mix dry ingredients. Beat eggs and oil together and add to dry ingredients with zucchini. Add nuts if desired. Grease and flour 2-3 loaf pans. Pour batter into pans and bake at 350° F for 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan. Cool completely on wax paper or wire rack.
2 cups powdered sugar water
Add water 1/2 tsp at a time until the consistency is like honey. Drizzle over tops of bread.
This is one of my family's favorite banana recipes. It's smooth, creamy, and tastes great!
2 tbsp 2% milk 4 tsp sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1 medium banana 1 cup plain yogurt 8- 1/4-inch banana slices for garnish 1 tsp warm chocolate or caramel topping (optional)
Place milk, sugar, vanilla, and medium banana in blender. Process for 15 seconds until smooth.
Pour mixture into a small bowl; fold in yogurt. Chill. Spoon into 4 dessert dishes.
Drizzle with warm chocolate or caramel (optional). Top with 2 banana slices. Yield: 4 - 1/2 cup servings.
